Houndstooth Bindles plays a rambunctious type of folk/rock music. Consisting of banjo fiddle, guitar and bass, our music is sometimes similar to bluegrass, sometimes similar to the Ramones. Stylistically and philosophcally we draw inspiration from folk singers like Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan, with added punk tempos and aesthetic. You can listen to us in a lawn chair or piss off your mom by blasting us from an angst-filled bedroom. We play mostly originals with a few old-timey and new-timey covers thrown in for good measure. We love a good harmony, we love a good story, and we love that you read this.

Press:
"The musicians of Houndstooth Bindles straddle two worlds: They create folksy, rollicking music amid life in central Ohio neighborhoods such as Clintonville and Old Oaks." Columbus Dispatch, Local Limelight.

"Raucous energy runs rampant through these six tracks of twang with a bang." Columbus Alive, Preview

"The gem on the EP is Graveyard Grass. Virginia sings the story of love lost in a seemingly careless and unapologetic manner that somehow makes the loss sting just that much more. The song reads like it was written on a 1920’s riverboat and hidden away until the Bindles’ got a hold of it." The Hot 17, EP Review.
